Punk Rock Softball took place yesterday and it was a huge success. Throughout the day I believe we had anywhere between 50-60 people playing and watching. I think it’s great that a bunch of people of all skill levels can get together and play and have fun.

Highlights include Chadd’s trash talking, sunburn, moon shots, funny errors and first base collisions. It’s not the prettiest softball you’ll ever see, but it might be the most fun and sportsmanlike.

I would love to figure out some way to make it into part serious tournament and part fun day of open playing for all, but that might wind up being too difficult. The current formula isn’t really broken (except for a few things) so there’s probably no reason to really mess around with it.
